  2. If you are the owner or option holder of a piece of property and wish to petition for rezoning, you begin the process by submitting an application and filing fee to Hampton County Building Department, located at 303 First Street East in Hampton.

    To complete the application you need to know:

    1. The map and parcel number of the property as listed with the Hampton County Property Assessor's Office, 201 Lee Avenue, 3rd Floor, Hampton.

    2. The existing zoning classification and requested zoning change.

    3. The existing land use and proposed use for the property.

    The Building Department staff will assist you in completing the form.
