FOIA 911 Call / Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) Report Request

  1. Request Instructions:
    1. Incident date: Please provide the date the incident occurred.
    2. Time of call: To locate your call, please provide the EXACT time, note AM or PM on your request.
    3. Type of call: Please provide the type of call (ex: fire, car accident, assault, domestic, etc…..)
    4. Date of request: Please note the date you are filing your request.
    5. Incident/Case number: Please provide the incident or case number for the information you are requesting.
    6. Name of requestor: Please provide us with the requestor’s full mailing address. 
    7. Incident location: Please provide the location where the incident occurred.  It is imperative that you be as specific as possible.
    8. Telephone number the call came from: If you know the number of the phone the call came from please provide it.
    9. Email address: If you would like to be contacted via email for updates regarding your request, please indicate your email address for all correspondence.
    10. Information requested: Please indicate if you want the telephone call (audio), Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) report, or both.  ****The CAD reports are not transcripts of the call, they only provide basic information input by the call taker.
  2. Fees:

    Fees for information are as follows (other fees may apply)
    $.50 per page printed (black and white 8.5”x11 sheet)
    $21.53 per hour research and preparation time
    $7.00 per audio CD copied

  3. ******  Under South Carolina Law, Hampton County has 10 business days to respond to your request (excluding holidays and weekends) and for records two years old or older, 20 business days.  Although we cannot guarantee a specific date of completion, we will process your request in a timely manner as required by state law.  Be advised it is against the law to obtain personal information from Hampton County to be used for commercial solicitation directed to any person in this state (for additional information, see SC FOIA law Section 30-2-50 A).
