Shedron D. Williams

Shedron D. Williams attended school in the Hampton School District One. He is a graduate of Wade Hampton High School. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science/Public Administration from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. He founded the Save Our Children Foundation of Hampton County. Mr. Williams has served as the Director of Education and Prevention for the ACCESS Network for the past sixteen years. He also serves as the chairman of the Hampton County Teen Pregnancy Prevention Council (HAPPI) and as an executive board member for the I AM Responsible, Reliable, and Respectful Program (IAMR).

Mr. Williams serves on a number of local, state, and national boards that advocate for wellness and healthy lives through prevention and care services. For his work he has been recognized by numerous organizations. He has served as a regional leader for the South Carolina Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy for three years. Under his leadership, Hampton Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Initiative (HAPPI) has been recognized as having one of the state’s largest decreases in teen pregnancies by county, from 1994-2006 (31%). For his commitment and continuous work, he was selected as one of the top thirty advocates for Teen Pregnancy Prevention in the nation by Emory University. Mr. Williams has four children (Rozadeen, Winston, Tra-Von and Kyri). He resides in Hampton, South Carolina with his wife Cassandra who currently serves as an educator in Hampton School District One.
