Department Functions
To oversee daily operations of Hampton County Building Department and enforce The International Building Codes. Provide pre-construction plans review. We issue building, renovation, electrical, mechanical, sign and house moving permits. We register and issue decals for mobile homes. We enforce The Unified Land Development Ordinance and The Public Nuisances and Unfit Dwellings Ordinance.
