Uniformed and Overseas Citizens - Absentee Voting
Military (uniformed) and overseas citizens may apply for an absentee ballot by using the Federal Standard Form 76 called the Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) or a State application. The Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) citizens include U.S. citizens who are members of the Uniformed Services and their family members. Uniformed Services are defined as the U.S. Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard), merchant marine, commissioned corps of the Public Health Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Overseas citizens are U.S. citizens who reside outside the United States and its territories.
The FPCA may be sent to the Board via mail, fax, or email. This application may be used as a simultaneous request for registration and an absentee ballot, or as a request for an absentee ballot for multiple elections, if already registered, instead of the State forms.
This absentee request is valid for elections within the calendar year in which the application is filed.
