Permit Fee Change

Schedule of Permit Fees

 

On all buildings, structures, or alterations, fire protection systems, signs, pools, and fences requiring a building permit, as set forth in Chapter I of the 2003 International Building Codes shall be paid at the time of application, in accordance with the following schedule:

 

Fees for Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical permits shall be based on value of work or $30.00 whichever is greater.

 

THE COST FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION WILL BE CALCULATED BASED ON SQUARE FEET UNDER ROOF USING THE MOST CURRENT RELEASE OF THE ICC BUILDING VALUATION DATA BASED ON SQUARE FEET UNDER ROOF.

 

Plan review fees…..residential 50% of permit fee – commercial 75% of permit fee.

No fee unless inspection required in which case a $30.00 fee for each inspection shall be charged

$30.00 plus $5.50 per thousand or fraction thereof.

 

 

 

$50,001.00 to $100,000.00

 

$288.50 for the first $50,000 plus $4.50 for each additional thousand or fraction thereof.

 

 

 

$100,001.00 to $500,000.00

 

$513.50 for the first $100,000 plus $3.50 for each additional thousand or fraction thereof.

 

 

 

$500,001.00 and up

 

$1,913.50 for the first $500,000 plus $2.50 for each additional thousand or fraction thereof.

 

The Building Department shall use the following figures as a basis of computing square footage cost for valuation of building permits:

 

            Residential/Renovation               $39.00 per square foot

            Commercial/Renovation              $25.00 per square foot

            However, each house and/or building shall be reviewed to determine if this rate should be increased or decreased due to materials used and/or specifications that may be incorporated in the scope of work.

 

Moving of building or structures – fee shall be $100.00

 

Demolition of building or structures – fee shall be $50.00

 

Permit to set-up a mobile home – fee shall be $80.00

 

Placement permit for a mobile home – fee shall be $25.00

 

Decal for a mobile home – fee shall be $5.00

 

Where a routine inspection reveals deficiencies, which require correction and re-inspection there shall be a re-inspection fee of $30.00 for each additional inspection.  THIS FEE IS TO BE PAID PRIOR TO RE-INSPECTION.
