INSTRUCTIONAL and RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS



 









We welcome your ideas!!!  If you have an idea forSack race during Farm City day a
program and would like to instruct that program, please
call the Hampton County Recreation Department as we
are always looking for new programs.  We can be

Registration is held on an on-going basis.  See
programs below for beginning dates.
     
•    Gymnastics - Begins September 13, 2010

    
Gymnastics classes are held every Monday
     during the months of September through May.
     The fee for each class is $40.00 per month.
     A one time $45.00 registration fee is required at sign up. Registration is currently going on so
     please pre-register during the month of August.  An instructor from The Sports Academy of
     Beaufort will teach this program. View the Recreation Departments calendar
     for dates and times of classes.

•    Basketball
     Basketball season is December through March for boys and girls ages 8-13.  Pre-registration will
     take place. During the month of October. We will accept sign up August thru October.
     A birth certificate is needed at time of registration and the fee is $45.00.

•    Cake Decorating – Begins September 14th and will conclude on October 19th
     Karin Bittle with the Sweet Spot of Hampton will be our instructor. Karin has years of experience as
     a baker and will be a great instructor, she has her own web page www.thesweetspot.com please

     Take a look at her work. This will be a six week course the times are 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM 
     everyTuesday. The fee is $50.00

 

   Martial Arts - Begins September 7, 2010
     Karate classes are held Tuesday and Thursday.  The fee is $40.00 per month with a yearly
     registration fee of $40.00.  Day and time are scheduled according to age; please call
     (803) 943-2857 for age specific schedule.

     

If you are interested in one or all of the above mentioned instructional or recreation programs, please contact the Hampton County Recreation Department at (803) 943-2857 or you can e-mail  rfreeman@hamptoncountysc.org.  In order to have a camp we must have a qualified instructor and meet the minimum number of students that each instructor will require for them to hold a day camp. So please call in early to reserve a spot in the program of your choosing.  Save your programs - register early!!!  Classes that do not meet the minimum enrollment will be cancelled.
