Virgin Johnson, Sr. resides in Hampton County, South Carolina with his wife of 52 years, Mary Ann.  They were blessed with three children, two sons; one a lawyer and minister and the other a law enforcement officer and a daughter, a teacher, who preceded them in death. 

Mr. Johnson is a retired educator, judge, magistrate and a veteran of the Korean War.  He was educated at South Carolina State University and Clemson University in Industrial Education.

He is serving his third term on County Council.  Mr. Johnson is a member and serves as deacon of Goodwill Baptist Church.  He is active in many auxiliaries and activities.

Mr. Johnson is a strong supporter of youth sports and activities.  His motto is that if you give the children something good to do; it will keep them out of trouble.  His commitment to the citizens of Hampton County is to serve them as best as he can.
