Hampton Regional Medical Center's 5th Anniversary

Hospital Staff Appreciation Day
HRMC wants to extend their thanks and appreciation to its clinical and support staff, and will do so with internal events for employees.  The hospital encourages folks in the community to say "thank you" to their physician, nurse or others who support their health care.  It's a great way to let them know you are supportive of their work.

Tuesday, October 22
Visitor Appreciation Day - All Day
Drive Thru Flu Shot Clinic - 3 PM to 6 PM
As a sign of our appreciation, HRMC would like to thank the community, patients, and visitors at the hospital for their support and will host activities throughout the day.  HRMC will also host a drive thru flu shot clinic from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.  Just as simple as it sounds - you drive up, roll up your sleeve, and get vaccinated right in the comfort of your vehicle.  Shots take as little as 1-2 minutes to complete, with the entire process taking an estimated 15-20 minutes or less.  This includes time for registration, consent, and brief patient education all from the comfort of your vehicle.  Receiving the vaccine in a parking lot organized for administration of flu vaccines is essentially no different than receiving it in a doctor's office.  Trained nurses and clinical staff administer the shot in both settings - except that it is much more convenient to have it done in a drive-thru.  The vaccine can only be administered to those 4 years of age and up.  The cost is $15 per person.

Wednesday, October 23
Get Healthy Hampton Expo - 7:00 AM to 1:30 PM
HRMC will host the Get Healthy Hampton Expo on the grounds of the hospital from 7:00 AM to 1:30 PM.  The health fair will provide important services and screenings for those in attendance such as blood pressure checks, blood work/screenings, diagnostic testing, and flu shots.  Various HRMC departments will have booths available so individuals can obtain more information regarding services as well as important health related education.  This will culminate during the lunch hour when a number of individuals can be entered into free drawings for giveaway items.  Tours of the hospital and medical buildings will be provided throughout the day at selected times.

    Speakers & Presentations
During the Expo, you have the opportunity to learn about that latest medical
advancements and health related news.  Our medical staff will be speaking during the
