Department Functions
Risk Management coordinates the development and implementation of the Hampton County Safety Program. There are two committee's; a Central Safety Committee and the Department Safety Committee. The Risk Manager serves as Chairman of each committee.
Responsibilities
Develop a safety program to include implementation and enforcement
Chair safety committee meetings to discuss safety infractions, progress reports, recognition and awards programs and guidelines
Make recommendation's to the County Administrator and department heads on safety policies and implement approved policies
Coordinate safety training with each department and County wide
Assure records are kept of all safety infraction's and disciplinary actions
Coordinate safety recognition program
Investigate accident's and makes on-site inspections
Report Workers' Compensation claims and maintains file
Administer transitional work program for employee on light duty
